Get to Know Kathryn

Kathryn Totheroh grew up in Bishop, CA, but moved to Orange County for college and to pursue a career in dance.
She completed her undergraduate degree at CSULB with a BA in Dance Science and spent 10 years as a
professional dancer and instructor.

After experiencing numerous injuries, and going through physical therapy herself multiple times, she decided to switch careers to physical therapy. She loves that she is able to help others return to what they enjoy doing, like her physical therapist did for her. She obtained her Physical Therapist Assistant degree and graduated with Honors in 2017.

Kathryn thrives in the outpatient clinic setting, as she enjoys the individual challenges each patient brings and being able to utilize her out of the box thinking to get desired results. She continues to stay involved in the dance community as a substitute teacher and assistant at the American Ballet Theatre Gillespie School at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, horseback riding, and hiking with her dog. She is currently working towards her Pilates instructor certification.

A graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Dr. Andrew also excelled in collegiate volleyball, competing at the NCAA level. Following his passion for sports and health, he pursued a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos. Outside of their professional endeavors, Dr. Andrew enjoys playing and coaching volleyball and surfing.

Get To Know Clay

Clay was born and raised in Orange County and has been surfing since he was seven years old up and down the California coast. Clay played water polo and swimming in high school and was ranked in the top 25 sprinters of southern California in 2012. Rehabilitating a rotator cuff tear and watching his grandfather complete aquatic physical therapy led him to pursue physical therapy. Clay attended California State University of San Marcos for his bachelors of science majoring in kinesiology and stayed in north San Diego for his physical therapy degree at University of Saint Augustine. You can find Clay at any beach break or in the mountains where he is learning to rock climb with his friends.

Ryan, originally from Irvine, discovered his passion for physical therapy through personal experience when his brother suffered an ACL tear while playing soccer. After completing his undergraduate studies in Biopsychology at UCSB, he pursued his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at University of St. Augustine in San Diego. On the weekends, you can find Ryan surfing, fishing, snowboarding, or exploring his culinary skills. Specializing in treating neck and shoulder issues, Ryan finds fulfillment in helping surfers and children with disabilities get back to doing what they love. With a unique background that includes living in Hawaii and Japan, Ryan is always up for an adventure!

Graduating from the University of St. Augustine, his love for sports and curiosity about injury recovery led him to specialize in treating athletes and active individuals. With a background in cross country, track, and surfing, Dr. Nick understands the importance of optimal function. He utilizes DNS techniques to improve patient stability, muscular control, and coordination for sports performance to everyday tasks.
