Get to Know Kathryn

Kathryn grew up in Bishop, CA, but moved to Orange County for college and to pursue a career in dance. She completed her undergraduate degree at CSULB with a BA in Dance Science and spent 10 years as a professional dancer and instructor before deciding to switch careers after experiencing multiple injuries and going through physical therapy herself. Inspired by how her own PT helped her return to what she loved, she earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree, graduating with Honors in 2017, and later became a certified Pilates instructor. Kathryn thrives in the outpatient orthopedic clinic setting, enjoying the unique challenges each patient presents and using her creative, out-of-the-box thinking to help them reach their goals. She remains active in the dance community as a substitute teacher and assistant at the American Ballet Theatre Gillespie School at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, and in her free time she enjoys traveling, horseback riding, hiking with her dog, and spending quality time with her family and kids.
