Get to Know Emily

Emily, originally from Northern California, embarked on her dance journey at the age of three and later pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Dominican University. Her own struggle with a stress fracture during college ignited her passion for dancer-specific physical therapy and helping performers recover safely. After spending six years as a professional dancer at Disneyland, Emily earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Hanover College and now provides specialized physical therapy care for dancers and active individuals. She focuses on treating dancer-specific injuries, particularly of the knees, ankles, and hips, to help patients return to the stage, sport, or activities they love with confidence. Outside of work, she enjoys teaching dance, exploring local BBQ spots, and going to the beach with her dog, Rocky. Emily is dedicated to helping active individuals return to their passions, relieve pain, and feel comfortable moving again through personalized, movement-focused physical therapy care.

Dr. Dani Simons, DPT, is a pelvic health and orthopedic physical therapy expert in Laguna Niguel with a clinical focus on men’s and women’s pelvic health, chronic low back pain, and lower extremity injuries, with a special interest in postpartum recovery. She takes a person centered, fitness forward approach to care, creating individualized treatment plans that empower her patients to stay active, feel better, and reach their goals. Dani leads an active lifestyle herself and draws on her background in running, rock climbing, yoga, and strength training when working with active adults. She understands the physical and mental toll of being sidelined by pain and uses that insight to design practical, sustainable programs that fit real life.

Outside the clinic, Dani enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their miniature schnauzer, Rocky, cooking to her favorite music, and skateboarding along the coast.
