Deep Relaxation
Deep Relaxation massage is a smooth, gentle, flowing style that promotes general relaxation, relieves muscular tension, plus improves circulation and range of movement. Your therapist will aim to relax, revive and rejuvenate you at a massage depth that does not cause discomfort. Your massage therapist will provide you with your choice of firm or gentle pressure in an overall massage for wellness, reducing tension and soothing tired muscle tissue.
Deep Relaxation massage may loosen up tight muscles caused by daily activities such as sitting at the computer or exercising. It can be very helpful for people who hold a lot of tension in their:
- lower back
- shoulders
- neck
- kneading
- long strokes
- deep circular movements
- passive joint movements
These techniques are meant to:
- relax you
- stimulate nerve endings
- increase blood flow and lymph drainage
Deep relaxation massage is beneficial for relieving everyday stress, loosening any general tension in the muscles, and giving an overall feeling of well-being. To be considered relaxing, this type of massage is not intended to work on many severe conditions that people have, conditions typically caused by tension that is buried deep within the soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia). If the tension that’s causing the problem is deeper into your tissue or it requires therapeutic techniques and a more firm pressure to release that tension, you would most likely need a Deep Tissue Therapeutic Massage, but if it’s stress and anxiety you’re trying to escape, then our expert instructors will ensure that your Deep Relaxation massage gives you that in spades.
