Boot Camp injuries
Get to Know Michelle:
Born and raised in sunny California, you could find Michelle consistently outside playing sports and being active. Michelle always found an interest in the sciences, but never knew what she could do with this interest career wise until she was in undergrad at University of San Diego. Michelle was playing in a for-fun basketball tournament at USD when she tore her ACL and meniscus, had reconstructive surgery, and spent 6 months in PT to get back to running, hiking, HIIT workouts and the gym. These 6 months were when she found her love for PT . About a year later, Michelle went to a high intensity boot camp where she injured her back. These injuries motivated her to become a PT so that she could help athletes and the active population rehab from and avoid future injuries, so they can get back to doing what they love. Michelle earned her doctorate of physical therapy degree at Old Dominion University in Virginia, and soon after started working with Rausch PT where she formed her specialized niche with boot camps, HIIT and strength and conditioning. Michelle works with all sorts of active patients that have injured themselves while working out, in sports or in their active lifestyle, but her favorite is working with patients to avoid these injuries before they happen!
When Michelle is not working, you’ll find her at the beach, on a hike, in the gym, and with her family and friends!!
